Our dentists remove wisdom teeth the same day at our Northlake Blvd office in Palm Beach Gardens, including impacted teeth that need a surgical extraction. The X-ray, the written price, and the removal all happen at one visit. Phone (561) 867-8401 and call first, because a chair is held for you and we don't see walk-in visits.
The $99 is a minimum fee for patients paying without insurance. It covers a limited, problem-focused emergency exam (ADA code D0140) and the X-ray needed to diagnose the tooth. Treatment is priced separately and quoted to you in writing before any work starts.

Signs you need an emergency wisdom tooth extraction today
A wisdom tooth comes out in a hurry when it's causing damage that treatment can't reverse. The gum around a partly erupted tooth has become infected for the second or third time. Decay has reached the nerve of a tooth too far back to fill well. The tooth is tilted into the molar in front and wearing a hole in its root. Or an X-ray has shown a cyst around a tooth that never came through.
Pain by itself is a reason to be seen, not always a reason to extract. If you're unsure the tooth needs to go, our wisdom tooth pain page covers the causes that can be treated without removal, so begin there.
A swollen cheek with a fever, a jaw that won't open, or any trouble swallowing or breathing goes to a hospital first. Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center on Burns Rd is about 3 miles away; for Jupiter patients, Jupiter Medical Center on Old Dixie Hwy is nearer. Hospitals treat spreading infection and injuries; they generally don't treat the tooth itself. Give our office a call after they discharge you.
What happens at your same-day visit
Your X-ray shows the position of the tooth, the shape of its roots, and how far it sits from the lower jaw's nerve canal or from the sinus above an upper tooth. Our dentist uses it to choose between a simple and a surgical extraction and to write your quote, which you agree to before anything else happens.
When a wisdom tooth has fully erupted and stands upright, it gets a simple extraction: numbed, loosened, and lifted out. A tooth still under the gum, tilted, or hooked at the root needs a surgical extraction. Our dentist opens the gum, sometimes removes a little bone, and often divides the tooth to take it out in pieces. Both are done here.
Afterward you bite on gauze and go home with printed aftercare and our number for that evening.
Cost of an emergency wisdom tooth extraction in Palm Beach Gardens
With no insurance, the exam and X-ray run $99. Once the X-ray shows whether it's simple or surgical, the extraction gets its own written quote. If more than one needs to come out, each is listed on the quote.
If you're on a PPO, HMO or Medicare Advantage dental plan, the exam and X-ray go to the plan. In-house payment plans, plus Sunbit, Cherry and CareCredit financing, cover the rest. The whole picture is on the cost and insurance page.
Why patients choose our Northlake Blvd office
Our chairs are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, so a wisdom tooth can come out Saturday morning with the weekend left to recover. A real person answers the phone at any hour; after hours, the service reserves the first opening for you, 7:00 AM on a weekday or 8:00 AM on a weekend.
We accept most PPO and HMO dental plans and Medicare Advantage dental plans. Spanish-speaking team members are here during office hours. You'll find parking on site, and 2025 was the year we opened.

Frequently asked questions
Can a wisdom tooth really come out the same day?
In most cases, yes. Phone (561) 867-8401 during office hours and that day's opening is yours; the X-ray confirms the plan, the price goes in writing, and the tooth is removed before you leave. When the gum is badly infected, our dentist may clear the infection first and take the tooth out a few days later.
What's the difference between a simple and a surgical wisdom tooth extraction?
Position. A tooth that has erupted fully and sits upright is lifted out in one piece, which is simple. A tooth under the gum, under bone, or growing sideways has to be uncovered and usually sectioned, which is surgical. Your quote names which one you're getting.
Is a wisdom tooth harder to remove than other teeth?
Often, because of where it sits and how its roots form. Lower wisdom teeth can run close to the nerve that gives feeling to the lip and chin, so our dentist studies the X-ray before quoting. For any other tooth, see our emergency tooth extraction page.
How do I avoid a dry socket afterward?
Leave the clot alone. For three days, no straws, no smoking, no spitting hard, and no rinsing on the first day. If the socket starts to throb on day three or four and hurts more than it did on day one, call us; a dry socket is dressed in minutes. Swelling with pus is a different problem, covered under dental abscess treatment.
