Cross the Blue Heron Bridge, take I-95 north one exit, turn west at Northlake Blvd, and you're at our office: about six road miles, eleven to sixteen minutes in normal traffic. Call (561) 867-8401 before you leave the island and a chair will be held for you. We see dental emergencies the same day, seven days a week.
If no insurance is in play, $99 covers the exam and X-ray.
The $99 is a minimum fee for patients paying without insurance. It covers a limited, problem-focused emergency exam (ADA code D0140) and the X-ray needed to diagnose the tooth. Treatment is priced separately and quoted to you in writing before any work starts.

How far is our office from Singer Island?
About six miles by road, the bridge included. Our address is 4595 Northlake Blvd Ste 112, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418, on the north side of Northlake Blvd just west of I-95. From anywhere on Ocean Dr (A1A), from Ocean Reef Park at the north end down to the Sailfish Marina and Palm Beach Shores at the south tip, you take Blue Heron Blvd west over the bridge.
Once you're on the mainland, you have two choices. I-95 north one exit to Northlake Blvd is the quickest most of the day. Old Dixie Hwy or President Barack Obama Hwy north to Northlake Blvd, then west, avoids the interstate and takes a little longer. Either way, eleven to sixteen minutes.
Same-day emergency dental care for Singer Island patients
A phone call comes before the bridge. We don't accept walk-ins; when you call, the front desk reserves a room and a dentist for the time you'll arrive, and that's what makes the visit same-day rather than same-week.
Office hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Call outside those hours and a live answering service picks up at any hour, notes your details, and reserves the next opening: 7:00 AM on a weekday or 8:00 AM on a weekend morning. The 24/7 part is the phone. The office keeps the hours above.
In the chair, our dentists look the tooth over, X-ray it, and explain what's going on. When the findings allow it, treatment is done before you leave. A knocked-out tooth, a broken tooth and toothache relief are all handled in this office by our own team. Bring a medication list and any dental insurance card.
Open weekends and early mornings for Singer Island
Beach injuries tend to happen on weekends, so Saturday and Sunday the doors are open from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with chairs reserved for emergencies. A tooth chipped on a paddleboard off Riviera Beach Municipal Beach on a Saturday gets seen that morning. Call first, then cross the bridge.
Weekday doors open at 7:00 AM and don't close until 7:00 PM. After 7:00 PM weeknights, or after 2:00 PM on a weekend, the phone still gets answered and we save the first opening for you. The weekend and after-hours page offers advice for the hours in between.
What an emergency dental visit costs for Singer Island patients
Without insurance, the exam and the X-ray that diagnoses the tooth are $99. Treatment is priced separately, and the price is written down and given to you before our dentists begin. You decide whether to proceed.
Most PPO and HMO dental plans are accepted, and so are Medicare Advantage dental plans; with one of those, the exam and X-ray are billed through the plan. Cash, cards, in-house payment plans and Sunbit, Cherry and CareCredit financing all cover treatment. The cost and insurance page explains the whole process.

When the emergency room comes first
Swelling creeping toward the eye or the neck, a fever along with a swollen face, a throat so swollen that swallowing or breathing is hard, or a jaw injured on a boat: go to a hospital first. The closest emergency room to Singer Island is St. Mary's Medical Center on 45th St. Hospitals treat spreading infection and injuries; they generally don't treat the tooth itself. Finished there, come to us for the tooth.
Emergency dental services for Singer Island families
A tooth knocked out on the beach can often be saved when you handle it only by the crown, rinse off sand with milk (no scrubbing), keep it moist, and get here within the hour. A dental abscess, the swollen, throbbing kind, is drained and treated here the same day. Wisdom tooth pain gets an X-ray and a decision at one visit. When a tooth can't be saved, an emergency extraction is done with a written price in hand first. A lost filling or crown is set back in place or remade once the tooth under it has been checked.
Singer Island is one of eight areas on our service area page, beside Riviera Beach.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Blue Heron Bridge add much time to the trip?
Not much on an ordinary day. The whole drive from Singer Island, bridge included, is eleven to sixteen minutes. An opening of the drawbridge can add a few minutes, so call (561) 867-8401 before you leave and tell the front desk if you get held up.
I broke a tooth at Ocean Reef Park on a Sunday. Are you open?
Yes, Sunday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Call before you come, keep the broken piece in a little milk, and head over the bridge. If it happens after 2:00 PM, the answering service picks up and holds you Monday's 7:00 AM opening.
I'm only on Singer Island for the season. Do I need to be a patient already?
No. First-time patients are seen the same day they call. Bring a photo ID, your medication list and any dental insurance card, including an out-of-state PPO or HMO card. With no coverage, $99 covers the exam and X-ray, and treatment is quoted in writing before work begins.
