From Lake Park, our office is a straight shot west on Northlake Blvd: under I-95, about three miles in all, six to ten minutes in normal traffic. Call (561) 867-8401 first and we'll have a room waiting. Our dentists see emergencies the same day, Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
For anyone paying without insurance, $99 covers the emergency exam and the X-ray that goes with it.
The $99 is a minimum fee for patients paying without insurance. It covers a limited, problem-focused emergency exam (ADA code D0140) and the X-ray needed to diagnose the tooth. Treatment is priced separately and quoted to you in writing before any work starts.

How far is our office from Lake Park?
About three road miles. We're at 4595 Northlake Blvd Ste 112, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418, on the north side of Northlake Blvd just west of the I-95 overpass. Lake Park's grid, from US 1 (Federal Hwy) over to Old Dixie Hwy and Prosperity Farms Rd, feeds onto Northlake Blvd within a few blocks.
From Lake Park Town Hall or the Lake Park Public Library, Park Ave takes you to Northlake. From the marina end of town near Kelsey Park and Lake Park Harbor Marina, 10th St does the same job. Either way you go west under I-95 and we're on your right not long after.
Same-day emergency dental care for Lake Park patients
Phone first. That's the one rule. We don't accept walk-ins because a call is what lets the front desk reserve a chair and a dentist for the time you arrive, instead of fitting you in between people who already have appointments.
During office hours the front desk picks up. At midnight or on a holiday, a live answering service does instead, notes what you tell them, and reserves the first opening for you: 7:00 AM on weekdays, 8:00 AM on weekends. The phone is answered 24/7; the office keeps the hours listed above.
Once you're in the chair, our dentists check the tooth, X-ray it, and tell you plainly what's going on. When treatment can happen right then, it does. Toothache relief, emergency tooth extraction and abscess treatment are all handled in this office, not somewhere else. Bring a list of your medications and your dental insurance card if you have one.
Open weekends and early mornings for Lake Park
We're open 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. A tooth cracked on a Saturday boat trip out of the marina gets looked at that weekend, not the following week.
On weekdays we open at 7:00 AM, early enough to be seen before a shift, and stay until 7:00 PM. After hours and after 2:00 PM on weekends, the phone still rings through to a real person who reserves the next opening for you. The weekend and after-hours page covers ways to get through the pain until then.
What an emergency dental visit costs for Lake Park patients
Without insurance, you pay $99 for the exam and the X-ray that shows what's wrong. Anything beyond the diagnosis is priced separately, and that price is put in writing and handed to you before our dentists begin. Nothing starts until you've said yes.
We accept most PPO and HMO dental plans, plus Medicare Advantage dental plans. Members of those plans have their exam and X-ray billed to the plan. Cash and cards work for treatment, and so do in-house payment plans and Sunbit, Cherry and CareCredit financing. For the longer version, read the cost and insurance page.

Problems that need the hospital before the dentist
A dental problem that has turned into facial swelling with fever, swelling that makes it hard to swallow or breathe, or a jaw injury from a crash or a fall belongs at a hospital first. The nearest emergency rooms to Lake Park are Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center on Burns Rd and St. Mary's Medical Center on 45th St. Hospitals treat spreading infection and injuries; they generally don't treat the tooth itself. Save the tooth for us afterward.
Emergency dental services for Lake Park families
A broken or chipped tooth is smoothed, rebuilt or crowned depending on how far the break goes. A knocked-out tooth has the greatest chance of going back in when it's kept moist and handled only by the crown; in South Florida heat, put it in milk, not a dry paper towel, and come straight here. Once we've checked that the tooth beneath it is sound, a lost filling or crown gets re-cemented or replaced. If a cracked tooth is leaking pain with every sip of coffee, an emergency root canal can usually save it.
Lake Park is one of eight areas on our service area page. North Palm Beach and Riviera Beach, Lake Park's neighbors, have pages of their own.
Frequently asked questions
Will I be seen the same day I call from Lake Park?
Yes, during office hours: weekdays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Tell the front desk you're in Lake Park when you call (561) 867-8401, and we'll set the time. Walk-ins aren't accepted; the call is the ticket in.
My toothache started Saturday night. Who do I call?
Us, at any hour. A live person answers, writes down what's going on, and holds you Sunday's 8:00 AM opening. Until then, rinse with warm salt water, prop your head up on an extra pillow, and skip very hot or very cold drinks. Over-the-counter pain relievers, taken as the label directs, can help.
Do you see children from Lake Park for emergencies?
Yes. A child's chipped front tooth from a playground fall or a baby tooth knocked loose is treated here the same day. Call first, tell us the child's age and what happened, and we'll be ready when you arrive.
